My Everyday - Day Five

I LOVE MY NEW BOSU BALL!!! It is a really nice workout! I had so much fun doing it... well as much fun as you can have working out. But Im not the only one who loves it... Jaxon thinks its his new favorite toy!

Balancing... Yes I know he has no pants on and is missing a sock... it was 4:30 pm and its Jaxon... he rarely is fully dressed by dinner time... he doesnt like clothes!

My Everyday - Day 4

So... we have a huge issue with Jaxon sleeping in his own bed. He is up at least once... lately 2-3 times a night asking to come into bed with me and Tim... but we have finally gotten him out of the habit of asking for our bed... now he just insists on one of us (lately me) sleeping with him... So this morning at 3am I found myself in bed with my toddler. I woke up this morning and looked over at Jax and he had no covers I reached down and tried to pull some up for him, but none would come up... then I realized his lack of covers was because his mommy had stole them all! Well hopefully that will help discourage him from wanting someone to sleep with him!
Owen is a great sleeper...in bed around 930 and up at 730... I LOVE IT!

OH!!! A very funny Jaxon story today... we I was folding laundry while Jaxon was on the computer playing treehouse and eating pretzels... we comes over and hands me the bag and says "Here mom, you hold this while I eat!"

My Everyday - Day Three

Today was a really fun day. Like Every Monday we started our day by heading to Gymboree... but the real fun started when we got home. It was Laundry day, and to top it off it was the first day using our new Front load HE washer and dryer. It was pretty sweet and now Jaxon thinks he has the ultimate Playroom. I could not get him out of the basement today. He would watch the washer and dryer... I really dunno why he loves front loaders so much but he is mesmorized by them! And when he needed a break he would play with his new Train set that he got from Santa.

This is a pic from Christmas morning. This is the first time Jaxon say his Train Set. He loved it. And I love that I no longer have to hear him ask me to take him to Chapters to play on the trains all day everyday!

My Everyday- Day Two

For those of you who don't know Jaxon loves Robert Munsch. He has only recently be introduced to the books but we have been watching the Bunch of Munsch Videos at least 2 sometimes 3 times a day for over a month now. (I knew all the songs before Jaxon started watching them so much because I use to love them too!) We were really lucky because the Royal Alberta Museum in Edmonton had a Special Interactive Robert Munsch exhibit I was able to take Jaxon to when visiting Mama and Papa in Edmonton over the holidays! Jaxon had to much fun!!! I had been having a hard time thinking of a good 3rd Birthday Party Theme for Jaxon but have now settled on Munsch. I spent some of my day today working on some stories... I am writing a story for each of the kids I will invite to the party starring them. Not be brag or anything but Im pretty impressed with myself. I need to get them published! LOL!

Jaxon Loved this part of the exhibit... it was Mortimer and everytime you walked but the door it would say "BEEEEEEEEE QUIET!" Jaxon will still giggle at me if I say it to him.

Happy New Year!
A mother once looked around her chaotic house and said "This is my everyday!" I have come to both understand and love that saying. So I have made a goal this year to keep a daily blog/journal of all the little joys in my daily life. I think it will be fun and help me notice those little joys more and more. (I know I am already a day behind... lets just say my everyday yesterday got in the way of starting the blog on time!) So Here we go... I hope you enjoy it because

Owen is almost 4 months old, and he is getting to be a really huge kid... much bigger than Jaxon was at this age. He is getting to be really interactive with people and faces and toys. Here are a bunch of random shots of Owen over the last few weeks.

We put Owen in his high chair for the first time this week too. He looks a little dwarfed by the massive chair, but he seemed to enjoy it quite a bit.

 

Jaxon's Letter From Santa

Everyday when I get the mail, Jaxon always asks if there is any messages for him... and he is always disappointed when I tell them that there isn't. But today, there was mail for him. He wrote a letter to Santa last week and today he got his reply letter in the mail. Look how excited he was to open mail for Jaxon!

Last night we decorated the Christmas Tree! We put on Amanda's Favorite Christmas CD Jingle Bell Jazz and Amanda and Owen danced... Owen loved it. If Amanda would stop he would hold up his hands to hear and grin... like he was asking for more!

Something New

Jaxon has learned to play on the computer all by himself. We made a shortcut to the games on treehousetv.com and now he can come up and get his games going with out any help from Mommy and Daddy... there are pros and cons to that !

Owen loves toys now... He can grab at things you give him and instantly pulls them to his mouth!

So I was just trying to get a picture of Owen sitting on the couch... but look at his face... I dont think he likes whatever was on treehouse at that moment!

Our Visit to Santa

We took Jaxon to see Santa for Family Home Evening on Monday night. His face lit up when he say Santa's Village (I must say it was beyond INCREDIBLE... this santa's village was AMAZING!) He was running all the way through it and then he turned a corner and came face to face with Santa... and Jaxon come to a dead stop... and refused to even look at Santa. We tried to coax him and even bribe him to see Santa but it wasnt working, so we stepped aside and let Jaxon watch other kids get there picture taken first. It took about 30 mins but we finally got him to sit next to Santa... I think the picture turned out great... besides Jaxons crazy short Hiked up pants.
